Sharp pain in toenail and wonky?

The skin around my big toe on my right has become swollen and the nail has started to look wonky as in its not growing streight its moving to the side slightly towards my other toes on that side and its causing me great pain when something toutches my toe. I really don't fancy seeing the doctor and i really HATE feet! There so ugly and gross! Urgh. Anyways, what is wrong with me?
